Hello Church
This week, George and I took our 2 youngest daughters to college. Claire, our youngest, will be a freshman at Colorado Mesa in Grand Junction, Colorado, and our middle daughter, Cami, will be a junior at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM. This is a time of great transition in my family. For the first time in 25 years, we will not have any children in our home. Life is full of transitions. Young adults transitioning to independence and a life of their own, some older adults transitioning to needing assistance, and sometimes even where they live. Our church will be making some transitions this fall. First, we will be changing the time of the worship service. Starting Sunday, September 6th, worship services will begin at 11 am. This will allow me to transition between churches and for the A/V people to get set up before the service starts. As I am sure you have noticed, we rarely start on time. Second, we will be transitioning our leadership/administration to a simplified accounting structure. This means we will have one leadership board that makes the decisions for the church. We will continue to have SPRC, nominations, and trustees. This really is not much different than how the church currently operates. Transitions can be hard and have some growing pains. I pray that we will all be prayerful and patient with the changes and transitions.
Shalom,
Pastor Stacy
