Happy Friday everyone!

No, I am not retiring. Yesterday we retired our flag that had become tattered and torn in the wind and weather. It was a beautiful ceremony with the Coweta American Legion Post 226; representatives from the Coweta Fire and Police were there to help us retire old glory. It was touching to see Mr. Donald Jouett, who flew 38 missions in Vietnam, retire our flag and have his son-in-law, Ron Walker, raise the new one. Mike and Kerri Wade dished out ice cream afterward, which was a blessing because it turned out to be a hot fall day. When you go by the church be sure to drive by the front and give a salute to our new flag.
